Dr. Antonio R. Massey - Married to Sharon Blake Massey. Father of 5. Graduate of Myers Park High School 1982. 1986 Graduate of Bishop College with a Bachelor’s in English Grammar and a Master’s in Music Theory. Antonio has served several Churches on the East and West Coast as Minister of Music. (2006) Earned his Doctorate in Biblical Studies from World Christian University. Antonio currently serves as Minister of Music at New Foundation Church in Charlotte NC, and Music Director of Faith Church Charlotte.
Ricky L. Collins Jr. was born in Charleston, SC and raised in Cherryville, NC. where he graduated from Cherryville High School and went on to study music at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
Ricky has been called to serve as the Pastor of Bethlehem Church West Campus, in Gastonia, NC where he is following the great commandment of making disciples to be the hands, feet and heart of Christ.
When Ricky is not ministering, he enjoys staying busy with his musical talent, as the assistant band director at South Point High School in Belmont, NC.
In addition to spreading the light to others, Ricky is an extreme advocate of his family being the priority in life. He is happily married to Fran Chisholm Collins, and together they have two children: Garvin and Gabryele Collins.
Sonia has loved music since she was very young. As a child, every Sunday she would stand at her father’s knee while he played his guitar. Her interest eventually deepened from listening to music to singing. Sonia currently serves as Minister of Music at Macedonia Apostle’s and Prophets Church in Gastonia, NC. She also sings with the Adams Family, a benefit concert choir based in Clover, SC.
Because she has a passion for helping young people, Sonia has spent the majority of her career in various capacities in higher education. She has been Assistant Director of Career Readiness at Johnson C. Smith University since fall of 2017. A Carolina Panthers fan, when she is not working or singing, Sonia enjoys spending time with her family.
Che’z (Shea) Adams is a native of Tallahassee, FL who moved to Gastonia, NC in 1990 where she graduated from Hunter Huss High School. She was introduced to music early in life by watching the world renown Florida A&M University Marching 100 perform. At age 11, she began playing the clarinet and made it her goal to become a member of the Marching 100 herself. Eventually she would go on to attend FAMU and indeed become a member of the infamous Marching 100, learning under the tutelage of the Maestro, Dr. William P. Foster.
Since graduating FAMU, she has mentored a plethora of children through her work as a mental health caseworker, team mom, band parent and parent to her own son and saxophonist, Kamal Adams. Che’z is also the former Hunter Huss Band Booster President, Founder/President of the Hunter Huss Alumni Association, Treasurer for the Committee to Elect Walker Reid for Mayor and Deputy Finance Director for Toole for NC.
